Kurt A. Dalton

Mr. Dalton is Managing Director of Mardal Investments, a private equity portfolio primarily allocated to Limited Partner positions in best-of-breed private equity and venture capital funds, with a smaller portion invested directly into private companies. Mardal’s positions range from seed stage venture to upper middle-
market growth equity, with a particular focus on technology-enabled companies in the lower middle market.
Prior to joining Mardal in 2010, Mr. Dalton founded Mayfly Films, a specialty finance and production entity based in Los Angeles, CA. Prior to Mayfly, Mr. Dalton held various roles at Endgame Entertainment, a privately held entertainment finance and production entity. Mr. Dalton started his career working for legendary music producer Phil Ramone as an Assistant Sound Engineer.
Mr. Dalton currently is a Board Observer at Uncommon Content Partners, a multiple Emmy Award-nominated content creation and development company; a Board Observer at Trellis, Inc., a technology company that provides a Real-Time Commerce Platform for local businesses; and a Director at Hyperlite Mountain Gear, a designer and manufacturer of lightweight, premium outdoor products.
Mr. Dalton and his family have a long history with Telluride, dating back to 1983 when they first purchased a condominium on Pacific Street. Aside from his affiliation with the Telluride Venture Fund, Mr. Dalton serves as President of the Telluride Society for Jazz, the non-profit that puts on the annual Telluride Jazz Festival.
Mr. Dalton resides in Scarsdale, NY and is a native of New York. He received his degree (B.A. History; B.A. Music) from Tufts University with Honors. When not at his desk, he is chasing after his two young daughters alongside his wife, Michele.
