John H. “Jack” Gilbride

Investment Team Member & Executive Advisor

 

Jack is currently an investor in several startup businesses, including SwitchFly and WhiteHat Security. In addition to his Telluride Venture Fund participation, he is a limited partner in four venture funds based in Silicon Valley and one based in China.
His initial business experience was in major account sales in NYC for five years with Monarch Systems. After graduate school he joined the corporate lending area of Bank of America, eventually becoming the VP head of the Energy and Manufacturing Sections of the International Office in Houston. After two years as an Assistant Treasurer for The M W Kellogg Company, he joined First Interstate Bancorp, then the sixth largest bank holding company in the country, initially as a VP in the parent company and ultimately EVP and COO of the credit card company.

He then did a startup and was Co-Founder and CEO of Integratec Corporation, a credit card back-office service company. Subsequently he was Chairman and CEO of CBR Information Group, a provider of credit information services to government and corporate clients.

He has been an active mentor in the Telluride Venture Accelerator for the last three years and a member of the Telluride Foundation in addition to previously serving as the Board Chair of Duchesne Academy, a pre-K through 12 Sacred Heart Network school in Houston.

Jack was born, and grew up in, New York City; and worked in Los Angeles, Boston, Houston and Atlanta, before becoming a full time resident of Mountain Village six years ago. Jack and his wife, Judy, have four children, two of whom had the joy of spending all or part of the high school years here.

He is a graduate of CCNY and has an MBA from the Marshall School of the University of Southern California.
